The conference besides dwelling upon the main elements in the Act, role and functions of WRDA, would also seek to:

• Initiate wide ranging Stake holder consultations and discussions on relevant issues likely to arise out of implementation of the Act.
• Understand the Act and the role and functions of the proposed Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority.
  
• Assess preparedness of and impact on farmers, warehousing agencies both in public and private sector, banks, insurance agencies, commodity exchanges and traders etc.
  
• Sharing of ideas and expertise by farmers associations, industry, academia and experts in the field, banking, finance and commodity related institutions.
  
• Sharing of ideas and expertise by reputed institutions and experts from India and abroad on issues related to implementation of the system in different countries.
  
• Generate literature on different issues which will be published/shared with relevant stake holders.
